Austrian former driver Alexander Wurz denies having a quarrel with Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko, although the two did not seem too good friends for a while. Wurz thinks his son is good enough for Formula 1 and Marko thinks not.
The Red Bull man previously revealed to OE24 that he does not see an Austrian junior ever making it to Formula 1. This was against the grain of Wurz, who thinks his son Charlie has the talent to reach the pinnacle of motorsport. "He has achieved more than me in his two years as a junior and already almost has the licence points to drive in F1, although as a 17-year-old he is still far too young," the former driver stated in conversation with OE24 about the FREC driver.

The new Max Verstappen

Wurz has a message for Marko. "He only wants to find the new Max Verstappen, but you don't meet them every year. If you find the rest of the juniors redundant, I'm OK with that." He says he thus has no problems with the Red Bull boss. "I know how to judge his comments. But it's not just about Charlie, but about all Austrian drivers trying to build something. You also have to let them live sometimes," the former McLaren driver states.
