According to reports from the Italian medium L'Espresso, former Formula 1 team boss Flavio Briatore was admitted to the hospital in Milan on Monday with the coronavirus. The Italian entrepreneur is not on the intensive care at the moment, but his condition is considered serious.
Recently, the former team boss of Benetton and Renault was already in controverse by his critical statements regarding the Italian government about the measures surrounding the coronavirus.
He found it unnecessary to close down Italian clubs, including his own club Billionaire in Sardinia. That club was closed on 17 August after more than sixty members of staff were diagnosed with the virus.

Update 29-8-2020

Flavio Briatore has been discharged from the hospital, IRCCS San Rafaele Hospital states in an official statement: "The general clinical conditions allow the patient to continue therapy in home isolation, as is expected in positive cases of SARS-Cov-2."
