The Alpine F1 Team has received a three-star certification from the FIA for the way it cares for the environment. It is the highest rating the international motorsport federation can give to an F1 team.
Earlier, Haas, Mercedes, McLaren, Aston Martin, and Sauber received the same rating from the FIA. To claim this, the team must use 100 per cent renewable energy in the UK, 80 per cent of its lights must have been replaced with LED lighting, and all CO2 emissions must be reported.

Audit by the FIA

Unnecessary travel outside the racing calendar must also be minimised as much as possible. Also, logistics must be organised in such a way that CO2 emissions are reduced. Alpine's environmental performance was assessed during an official audit by the FIA. This took place last December at its home base in Enstone and remotely in front of Viry Châtillon.
The FIA Environmental Accreditation Programme was launched in 2011. It aims to help motorsport teams worldwide measure and improve their environmental performance.
