Formula 1 continues to break box office records. The new film starring Brad Pitt has reached another significant milestone just two months after its official release.
When it was announced a few years ago that fans would get to enjoy a new Formula 1-themed film, expectations were certainly high—but the numbers Brad Pitt’s movie has achieved just two months after its release are undeniably impressive.
The film, featuring Brad Pitt as Sonny Hayes returning to Formula 1 after a serious accident in the 1990s with the aim of saving the APXGP from collapse and mentoring the young Joshua Pearce, has reached another significant milestone.
The film had already been recognized as the most successful movie of the Hollywood actor’s career, as well as the highest-grossing motorsport-themed film of all time.
Now, however, the film has surpassed the $600 million mark at the box office, reaching $603 million according to Box Office Mojo. Of this total, $185 million comes from the U.S. market, with the remaining $407 million from international markets.
As for European countries, the United Kingdom leads box office earnings with $29 million, followed by France and Germany with $24 million and $16 million, respectively. The film has also been a major hit in China, grossing $57 million.
The numbers are expected to continue rising in the coming weeks, given the significant impact the film has achieved in just the first two months.
