The government of Great Britain has announced that from 8 June new rules will come into force in the fight against the coronavirus. Everyone entering the country must be quarantined for fourteen days.
This became clear earlier tonight, which is already causing problems for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Seven out of ten Formula 1 teams have their base in the UK and they were told later today that they will not be exempted from the new measures.
A Formula 1 spokesman said the following: "We have been working closely with government on the implications of the policy for Formula 1 and Silverstone. Those discussions are ongoing at this time with the aim of finding a solution with safety as our first priority", Says Luke Smith Twitter.

This can severely disrupt the start of the entire F1 season. Teams must now look for solutions for the travelling personnel. Formula 1 is working on a new calendar with a lot of races close together, which means that staff would not be able to go home in the meantime and could leave in time for a new Grand Prix.
