Just hours before the third free practice session for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix kicked off, the FIA released an update for the weekend. The main tightening? Overtaking at the end of the pitlane is no longer allowed. According to Sky Sports, the change was made at the request of the drivers themselves.
During the drivers' briefing after free practice, there were reportedly complaints about Verstappen's driving in the second free practice session. The reigning world champion passed a number of competitors at one point in the pit lane, only to start driving slowly. In particular, the fact that Verstappen went off the throttle the moment he had arrived at the front of the line caused annoyance.

'Waiting for accident with Verstappen'

According to Sky Sports, this was called 'dangerous', and it would be waiting for an accident. The FIA heard the drivers' complaint and therefore decided not to allow overtaking in the pit lane anymore. At least for the rest of the weekend, this is no longer allowed, after it was allowed just a few weeks ago.
The condition was that the slower competitors would drive on the left side of the pitlane, allowing the faster drivers to safely exit. But as said, in Abu Dhabi, this is not going to happen again.
