Bernie Ecclestone was instrumental in the deal that got Force India out of administration recently, following their financial issues.
On Monday, Ecclestone said to Forbes that the deal was imminent before it was agreed 24-hours later.
"I think Lawrence (Stroll) is the most likely bidder," Ecclestone told Forbes.
"He's going to buy it, I'm pretty sure. It will be sorted out within a few days and I don't have any fears that it's not going to be all right.
"I've spent all morning with the people on the Force India business."

Ecclestone is good friends with Stroll, who was at a certain point looking into bidding for the sport of Formula One himself.
Force India are out of administration for the moment, but the team look a long way off competing to what they did last season again, with their financial struggles - that, nowadays in F1; can see a team left behind.
