Drugovich shares snapshot from Aston Martin F1 simulator shortly after Stroll news

Now that it is clear that Lance Stroll will not be in action during the winter test in Bahrain, the big question is who will be the lucky one to replace him. One possible candidate is Felipe Drugovich, who shared a snapshot from the simulator shortly after Aston Martin' s announcement.

Shortly after Aston Martin announced that Stroll would have to miss out on the winter test, a picture appeared on Drugovich's Instagram account. In it, the 2022 Formula 2 champion can be seen sitting behind the wheel of the simulator. It is no more than a silent hint for now, as it is not yet clear how the team will schedule the test days.

Stoffel Vandoorne and Felipe Drugovich are both reserve drivers for Aston Martin, but the former is expected in Cape Town on 24 February for the first free practice of the Formula E weekend. With that, Drugovich seems to be the main candidate to replace Stroll, but it is also quite possible that Fernando Alonso will take on the full winter test.
