Drivers' standings: Verstappen wins in Vegas as Norris extends points lead

Norris has strengthened his grip on the championship with just two rounds to go with today's second place finish.

The British driver is now 30 points ahead of Piastri ahead of the Qatar Grand Prix, with Verstappen 12 points behind the Australian.

Norris can now leave Qatar as world champion, where there will be a Sprint and Grand Prix to contend with. The British driver can win the title in Qatar if Piastri doesn't outscore his teammate by five points or Verstappen doesn't outscore him by 17 points.
