Verstappen has expressed concerns about the RB20 since Imola. According to Verstappen, the competition has clearly moved closer and the team needs to work hard to get more performance out of the car. In Monaco, the RB20's weakness was actually visible.

Verstappen still wins most of the races. In Miami, Verstappen was unlucky with a safety car. He won in Imola, Canada and now Spain. In all three weekends, the competition were hot on his heels, but Verstappen pulled it out of the bag every time.

One might therefore wonder if the car is that good at the moment, or if Verstappen is simply getting more out of the car than anyone else. The gap with Sergio Perez is glaring with the Mexican scoring just eight points in the last four races. Yet Perez is no slouch, and his lack of speed also says something about the true pace of the Red Bull car.
