Formula 3 driver Daniel Ticktum has hit out at fellow F3 driver
Mick Schumacher, as the Brit said he's
"fighting a losing battle" as his name is not Schumacher, implying that the German has an unfair advantage.
Ticktum was in the championship lead until last race week, where the on fire
Mick Schumacher took it from him and didn't look back since. The son of
Michael Schumacher has won five out of the last six races and seven out of the last nine, winning all three races at the Nürburgring and two of the three in Austria last weekend. Robert Schwartzman, Schumacher's teammate at Prema, took the third race at Spielberg.
The Brit, who is part of the Red Bull junior programme, hit out at Schumacher on his social media.
"Compared to the top 2 no one on this grid had a chance," Ticktum wrote.
"Even their other team-mates who are good drivers were nowhere compared to them.
"Interesting is how I would describe their pace and I am confident many people in the F3 paddock will agree.
"I did the best possible as I always endeavour to do!"
Later, after receiving some backlash for sounding bitter for being beaten by Schumacher, Ticktum responded by insisting he has nothing but respect for the German.
But then, he made the following comment:
"I’ll say it only once more, unless you have something constructive to say, leave your useless, ill-thought comments off my page as they have no evidence to ratify the truth.
"If you want to talk to me DM [direct message] me as I can answer your questions if you may have some!
"Unfortunately, however, I am fighting a losing battle as my last name is not Schumacher."
Maybe he's talking about the genes, but we doubt that. Don't get on social media when you're upset after a defeat, kids!
