Daniel Ricciardo has reportedly punched a hole in the wall of the Red Bull changing room. He retired from the United States Grand Prix early on following yet another engine issue inside his RB14. His team-mate, Max Verstappen demonstrated what could have happened to the Australian as Verstappen went on to finish 2nd.
Ricciardo has still not stepped on the podium since his victory in Monaco five months ago. Christian Horner told ESPN how frustrated his driver was.
"It's a crying shame for Daniel, I feel so sorry for him," Horner said.
"It looks identical to the power unit issue he had in Bahrain where it's just gone into complete shutdown. It's so frustrating for him. He's taken out his frustration in his room by putting his fist through the wall."
Ricciardo will make a move to Renault in the winter. He has to be debating that decision now as Red Bull look to move on to Honda in 2019.
