Coronavirus will not stop Monaco: "This work should continue"

All around the world, things are shutting down. Formula 1 is no different. Apart from the Monaco organisers who say the preparation for the race in the famous streets will continue as normal.
In the principality, they do everything to let the GP continue anyway. When the Grands Prix of Bahrain and Vietnam were postponed, it was said that we would start again at the end of May, but everyone already assumes that we will only start in Azerbaijan. Monaco does not know anything yet.

Monaco wants to continue

The Grand Prix on the street circuit would take place on May 24 and as long as no postponement has been confirmed by Formula 1, Monaco wants to continue to do everything to prepare the circuit on time. "This work should continue as usual, as the race if it continues, should be able to take place under ideal conditions," said Marie-Pierre Gramaglia, counsel for the responsible ministry in a statement.
Whether the Grand Prix can actually be held at the end of May is still very much a question. Under the current circumstances, the same measures apply in Monaco as in the Netherlands, so no major events should take place. The COVID-19 virus must, therefore, have disappeared by then.
