The start of the race will be behind a Safety Car for the 2019 German Grand Prix due to the soaking wet conditions!
It has now been confirmed that the 20 drivers will do the formation laps behind a Safety Car. The stewards will then wait until the track is dry enough for a standing start.
It will be up to the Race Director whether it'll be a rolling or a standing start. The laps will come out of the overall race time.
