Charles Leclerc reports that he "struggled with the car balance" on the opening day of the Hungarian Grand Prix weekend. The Ferrari driver insists he and his mechanics need to find a way of fixing this before qualifying.
Friday's running was hampered by rain in the afternoon. Formula 1 action was limited because of the tricky conditions which didn't make it any easier for the teams.
"It was quite a difficult day. We faced mixed weather conditions, the first session being relatively dry and the second rainy. Overall, from my side, we struggled with the car balance and are now working on finding a way to improve this for tomorrow," Leclerc said.
Rain is once again on the forecast for Saturday. There's around a 70% chance of rain during qualifying, while there's a significant chance of rain during the third and final practice session. There's also the risk of a thunderstorm.
"I think that I was in better shape in the wet, so it will be interesting to see what the conditions will be like in qualifying. On the upside, we tested some new parts today which worked as expected. Hopefully, we can make a good step forward," Leclerc added.
