Sainz and Leclerc agree: 'Aston Martin sit with the strongest teams'

Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz of Ferrari are not only holding their breath for the fight against Red Bull Racing but think Aston Martin could also pose a challenge in 2023.

The two Ferrari drivers believe Aston Martin might be a threat in a conversation with the Italian branch of Sky. Before the start of the Bahrain GP, the two can already be found at the circuit making pre-race preparations and speaking to the press. Sainz is first asked who the top three will be this year. Sainz: "The three strongest? Not counting me and Charles? Apart from the drivers, I would say Red Bull, Aston Martin and Mercedes are the strongest."

Leclerc agrees with his teammate: "Aston Martin was surprisingly good during testing, but the data finally confirmed what we saw. They have a really good car."
