Carlos Sainz was understandably very pleased with his Russian Grand Prix, as he got back to points scoring ways following three blanks since the summer break.
Starting fifth following Max Verstappen's five place grid penalty, the Spaniard got up to fourth early in the race after getting a better start than Valtteri Bottas, but soon fell behind Bottas and Verstappen.
Sainz picked up a place after Sebastian Vettel's retirement, but lost out late on to the charging Red Bull of Alex Albon.
Sainz said in a tweet: "Smooth operation and back to where we deserve! Solid P6. Felt nice to fight boths Mercs at the start and both Red Bulls later, but we lacked a bit of pace to hold them off.
"Happy with best of the rest again though. Great job everyone. Another double points finish for the team."
