Jenson Button is going to race again. The Brit announced this to his fans in a video. The 2009 F1 World Champion will make the switch to NASCAR this season.
With 309 Grands Prix, 50 podium finishes, 15 wins and one title, Button is a big name in motorsport. The man who had his heyday with BAR and BrawnGP, drove his last F1 race in 2017. Since then, however, he has not been idle. For instance, Button drove races in Super GT, 24 Hours of Le Mans and Extreme E.

Button's return

Button is going to do something new in 2023. He announced on his Twitter account that he will compete in NASCAR races at the Circuit of the Americas, the Chicago race and the Indianapolis circuit in partnership with Mobil1. At COTA, Button will meet a familiar face, as Kimi Raikkonen will also be in action there.
In the video, Button reveals that he has never stopped racing. The competition makes him hungry, as was already the case when he started karting. Button also still has an advisory role at Williams' Formula 1 team, where he has been listed as Senior Advisor since 2021.
