Jenson Button, former F1 champion is impressed with Max Verstappen's pole lap. The Dutchman starts the race at Silverstone from P1, ahead of the big favorite: McLaren.
Sky Sports also admitted that Verstappen outpaced everyone, with help from Red Bull after a poor start to the weekend at Silverstone. Jenson Button, former F1 driver and Sky analyst can only say it was 'brilliant,' how the Dutchman took pole from the McLaren drivers.
"He looked so calm out there," he begins his short analysis of the pole lap. Verstappen is once again ahead of the drivers from the British McLaren, while it's the papayas who are the season's top favorite. "He just got the maximum of what was in the car."

Great Advantage for Verstappen

Button also sees a great advantage for Verstappen. Red Bull worked hard over the weekend to get the car ready for the British Grand Prix. It turned out well: the 44th pole for Verstappen and that at Silverstone.
"They are running such low downforce, the straight-line speed is a big advantage," says the Sky analyst. "But you've got to get it through the corners as well. There are lots of high-speed corners out there. Impressive stuff."
Verstappen will have to start the Grand Prix without the backup of teammate Yuki Tsunoda. He will start from the back and, as team principal Christian Horner expects, will have to face a duel with Mercedes.
