BREAKING | This is Alpine's A522 for the 2022 Formula 1 season

Alpine has launched the new A522 for the 2022 Formula 1 season. The new car also has a new sponsor in BWT this year and therefore a different lick of paint.

The BWT Alpine F1 team have presented the new car for Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon. There have also been quite a few changes at the French team in recent months, following yet another restructuring. For example, Marcin Budkowski as team boss has made way for Otmar Szafnauer who comes over from Aston Martin.

In addition to a new team boss, there is also a new title sponsor for Alpine. BWT returns to Formula 1 and with it the pink color. The colour is not as heavily present as in the partnership with Force India, but the brand that fights for better water is much more visible in F1 in 2022 than it was with Aston Martin.

Alpine will use this livery for the majority of the season, but will run with a full pink livery for the first two races as a nod to their new sponser BWT.
