Ferrari has unveiled the new F1-75 with which the team hopes to return to the top in 2022. Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will get to drive the Italian team's new car.
With the new regulations for the 2022 Formula 1 season, it is the ideal opportunity for Ferrari to return to the top. After still being able to compete for the title in 2017 and 2018, the team disappeared further and further back after the engine had to be downsized. Although this was never confirmed by the FIA or Ferrari, the power after 2019 was a lot less.

Pressure on Ferrari

That engine is now a lot better again, but whether the team is already back on the level of Honda and Mercedes is still unclear. That will mainly depend on the F1-75. With that car, Mattia Binotto's team hopes to rejoin the front.
Ferrari has a big advantage over their main competitors in that respect. Whereas Mercedes and Red Bull Racing fought for the world title in 2021 until the last day, Ferrari's eyes were on the new rules in 2022 very early on. With the resources available, you would therefore expect the illustrious team to compete at the front again in 2022.
