Valtteri Bottas will start the Spanish Grand Prix from third-place, behind Max Verstappen [P2] and Lewis Hamilton [P1]. The Mercedes driver found himself just 0.132 seconds behind his teammate, but
"That was close. It definitely was aiming for the battle of pole position. The first run in Q3 was faster. Just in turn 10, I had a snap at the entry so that was the margin for the pole position. It's a strong package and will be a strong fight tomorrow no doubt," Bottas said.

Bottas ahead of Perez

Once again, Verstappen will have to attack Mercedes alone. Bottas is up at the top, but Perez finds himself down in P8. Bottas knows it will be a close battle during Sunday's race.
"It's going to be close between us and Red Bull, if we can keep the tyres in good conditions there is possibility for one-stop, two stops but I won't tell you ours."
