Roof of stand collapses due to bizarre conditions in Brazil

Halfway through Q3, thick grey clouds gathered over the Interlagos circuit. A spectacular qualifying session in Brazil, you could say. Many drivers had never experienced these conditions before. Because of these bizarre conditions, damage also came from the weather.

The grandstand at the last corner of the circuit has been damaged, Formula 1 photographer Andy Hone reported. The roof of the grandstand collapsed, which in turn caused all sorts of falling debris. As far as we know, there were no injuries. Before qualifying, the start was also postponed due to debris on the track.
