Billy Monger, a 19-year-old Brit was forced to have both of his legs amputated after a bad crash in 2017. This season, he completed a return to action in the British F3 championship where he finished 6th overall. Monger is now looking to move into the FIA F3 championship in 2019.
Monger, who has developed a friendship with Lewis Hamilton, is part of the Mercedes F1 team this weekend in Abu Dhabi. He's also dedicated his time to Carlin's F2 team who have helped him get his career back on track.
The Brit intends to feature in the F1 support bill next season but admits he's after a sponsor to support him.
"We are looking for commercial sponsors for next year to make a step into FIA Formula 3," Monger told Channel 4.
"It's tough because it's the journey that I'm on and I don't want it to be the end of the journey. I'm pushing my way up, and hopefully, we should be ok."

Before he departs Abu Dhabi, he will take part in an extraction test with the new halo fitted to the 2019 F3 car. Carlin is keen to continue their support of Monger as he moves up the ladder.
