Aston Martin is fast: shakedown as early as Friday

As the third team, Aston Martin unveiled the car for the 2022 season. Or rather, as the first team to do so, the English team showed a car that will also be used for winter testing (unlike Haas and Red Bull).

On images, the AMR22 looks impressive. Already on Friday the team will have a first look whether the car is as good on the track. The team will give the new car a so-called shakedown. This will take place on the Silverstone circuit.

Each team is allowed to do a film day twice a year. On these, 100 kilometers can be driven for example to record promotional material. In practice the F1 teams use these days as extra testing moments, outside the winter tests in Barcelona and Bahrain. Aston Martin is thus the first team to run the car.

According to Andy Green, Chief Technical Officer of Aston Martin, there is a logical reason to go straight to the track. During the presentation of the car he said that any problems could be solved immediately. Moreover, there is then enough time to make adjustments before the winter tests begin.
