Stroll and Alonso send new Aston Martin onto the track for the first time

While Mercedes presented its new car for the 2023 season, Aston Martin drove its first laps on the Silverstone circuit. The British team is hoping for a better year than 2022. Back then, it became clear during the shakedown that Aston Martin had missed the mark with the concept.

Aston Martin has a new driver in the team with Fernando Alonso, alongside Lance Stroll. Two days after the presentation of the AMR23, they were allowed to test drive the car for the first time. Only 100 kilometres were driven during a shakedown, as it is officially a 'filming day'. However, teams use these days to see for the first time if the car responds as hoped at the factory.
