F1 analyst Peter Windsor saw the best of Max Verstappen in Baku last weekend. Once he got the pole, bang, the race was his. Brilliant to watch, as ever.

After crossing the finish line first Monza, Verstappen claimed his second consecutive victory in Baku.
Peter Windsor was full of praise for the Dutchman’s performance in his analysis on his YouTube channel. "Nothing went wrong. He made a perfect start, he was perfect at the restarts, he managed the tyres perfectly. He won the race with ease."
He continued: "Red Bull just showing how good that car is now and Max Verstappen showing what a racer he is.
"Come what may, when all the variables were there in qualifying, it was Max that went through and got the pole in the closing milliseconds of Q3.
"Once he got the pole, bang, the race was his. Brilliant to watch, as ever.
"It won't go down as one of the greatest Grand Prix of all time because of the lack of position changes and because of the straightforward nature of Max's win.
"But if you want another example of how to manage a race and how to run it well, this was it. Providing, of course, that you also look at the job that Max did in qualifying," the Australian concluded.
Can Verstappen challenge for the drivers' title?
With back-to-back victories, the Dutchman's gap to championship leader Oscar Piastri stands at 69 points. Verstappen also trails Lando Norris by 44.
The Dutchman still has seven Grands Prix and three Sprints remaining in 2025 with points up for grabs.
About his chances, he said in Baku:
"I don't rely on hope, but it's seven rounds left, and 69 points is a lot. So I personally don't think about it—I just take it race by race, which is what I’ve been doing basically the whole season: trying to do the best we can, trying to score as many points as possible. And then after Abu Dhabi, we'll know." The four-time F1 champion could already celebrate a title this weekend. In the Gold Cup of the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup, Chris Lulham and Thierry Vermeulen topped the standings driving for Verstappen's team.
