Yesterday afternoon the circuit of Spa was shaken up by a hard crash in the W-series. The racing class in which only women participate in order to make the step up to F2 and F1. At Eau Rouge, no less than six cars skidded off the track and crashed into each other, with Dutch driver Beitske Visser suffering the most impact.
Four times her car hit the wall or another car. The impact sent her flying over the tire pile and eventually, she skidded upside down across the track. She was able to climb out of the wreckage under her own power but was taken to hospital for checks. On Friday evening, Visser said she is doing well and that she suffered no major injuries as a result of the crash.

Angel on Visser's shoulder

"Thank you all for your messages that was a very scary one but I think I had an angel on my shoulder, I’m very sore but luckily I have no fractures". As last of the six drivers involved in the crash, Visser was released from the hospital that same night.
