Alexander Albon has won his first DTM race at the Nürburgring, after securing his first pole position on the same circuit. He did this in a very nice way in rainy conditions.
It was a pretty chaotic race, with nine of the 23 drivers dropping out. Including championship leader Kelvin van der Linde, who was involved in an incident with teammate Mike Rockenfeller, and Liam Lawson, who is third in the championship.

Albon keeps cool as chaos reigns behind him

Albon kept his cool in a race marked by two safety car situations and a number of incidents, and drove from pole position straight to victory. The Red Bull Racing reserve driver will try to repeat his stunt in two weeks time in Austria.
