Alexander Albon has been 'released' by Red Bull Racing in 2022, allowing him to make his comeback in Formula One at the Williams team. Despite not severing ties with Red Bull, the Thai driver says he is free to share his knowledge of the Austrian racing team with his new employer.
Albon drove the Williams FW44 for the first time at the SIlverstone circuit on Tuesday. Outside of that he has only been able to try the Williams car in the simulator, but already there he noticed a huge difference from the Red Bull car, which he says 'feels very different'.

Albon will use Red Bull knowledge at Williams

Things that work well at Red Bull don't work at Williams, and vice versa. The former teammate of Max Verstappen says it will take some time to get used to that, but his priority is to help the team develop and move up the starting grid.
To what extent can Albon use his knowledge of the Red Bull car with his new employer? "I'm going to use everything I know," states the Williams driver in conversation with The Race. "At the same time, I'm not an aerodynamicist. I don't know what the RB18's rear wing looks like or anything, I only know how it feels."
