Alexander Albon experienced a lot in a short period of his Formula 1 career. After a good start he failed at Red Bull Racing. This season he got another chance at Williams, which he is grabbing with both hands. The driver has already learned a lot, he emphasised in an interview with Auto, Motor und Sport.
After being told by Red Bull to make way for Sergio Perez at the end of 2020, he was absent from Formula 1 for a year. According to Albon, that makes for a lot of differences between all the talented drivers currently competing in the motorsport class.
"Max (Verstappen, ed.) has the most races to his name. He is used to racing at the top in a top team. Charles (Leclerc, ed.) has also made a step this year. Then there is George (Russell, ed.), who is fighting with Lewis (Hamilton, ed.). That is very impressive. And then there is Lando (Norris, ed.), who is driving very strong," he lists.

Albon on chances in Formula 1

Albon has long regretted not being able to take his chance with Red Bull, but says he has now accepted the situation. The Williams driver knows that everyone eventually gets opportunities. "Mine came very early in my career," he said.
