Max Verstappen drove a masterful race on Circuit of the Americas during the United States Grand Prix. Rumor has it that the Dutchman won the race while suffering from gastritis.

'Verstappen suffered from gastritis'

Brazilian Formula 1 journalist Mariana Becker reports this in a live recording on her Instagram page. According to Becker, Verstappen suffered from gastritis during the GP of America. Gastritis is an inflammation of the stomach lining.
The rumor has not been confirmed by official channels. It is also not clear whether this will be confirmed. Verstappen drove a tremendous race, so the consequences of the inflammation were not noticeable for last Sunday's result. Winning such an exciting race against Lewis Hamilton while suffering a burning feeling in the stomach due to a possible infection is very impressive anyway.
