Confirmed | F1 Stewards reach conclusion after Q1 yellow flags investigation
Nikita Mazepin had his second spin of qualifying just as the chequered flag dropped. As a result, the yellow flag at turn one dropped and he hampered a few drivers who were pushing to get into Q2.
The stewards opted to investigate whether any drivers failed to slow down during the yellow flag period. Esteban Ocon, Lance Stroll, Sebastian Vettel and George Russell were all under investigation.
No action needed
"Three other cars drove through the sector during the yellow, but there was clearly no need to investigate their actions as they were significantly slower," the statement reads.
No further action over any Q1 infringements due to yellow flags. Focus was on Ocon, Stroll, Vettel and Russell:

"In each case, the driver set a slower time in the sector, drove appropriately by the video, and telemetry showed they took appropriate actions." #F1 #BahrainGP
Esteban Ocon didn't manage to escape from Q1. Neither did Sebastian Vettel who was looking to get a positive start to a new chapter at Aston Martin. George Russell managed to escape the drop zone and will start from P15. Meanwhile, Stroll will start from 10th.
