Lewis Hamilton has been linked with Ferrari for years, but it seems the Brit will not be driving for Formula 1's most legendary brand in his career after all. Mattia Binotto now says he has no regrets.
When the legendary Ferrari brand knocks on your door, you can't really say no, as Carlos Sainz recently admitted when asked about his switch. Most top drivers have made their metres for Ferrari. Some with more success than others. While Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel tried, Hamilton does not make the step.

Will Ferrari regret it?

Ferrari opted for young talent with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz in 2021 and thus did not seize the opportunity to bring Lewis in. ''I don't think we will regret it, because at the end of the day we make decisions because we think they are the right decisions. Now we have a fantastic driver like Charles, in whom we have invested a lot,'' Binotto told Sky Sports.
''I think he (Leclerc) has enormous talent and in the right car he can fight with Lewis Hamilton. We have made our choices and together with Carlos I think we will be very strong. Therefore I don't expect us to regret our choice'', concludes the Ferrari team boss.
