Gasly: "It seems that the car is a good fit for this track

Pierre Gasly shows his class once again in the AlphaTauri. He equals his best qualifying result with a P4 and this is also the best result he has ever achieved with AlphaTauri.

Gasly had expected a strong qualifying session

"I am very happy! My best qualifying for this team and equaling my best qualifying result in Formula 1. So I'm really happy. I felt good in the car, it seems that the car is a good fit for this track," says Gasly at Ziggo Sport.

“I think we were fast. Even this morning. We were always close to the top three. I felt good in the car and felt I could consistently drive fast laps. We are now focusing on tomorrow," says Gasly, who says he had known about his contract extension for some time. This had no effect on his good qualifying result, he says.
