Leclerc is unhappy with changing circumstances: 'That's is not going to help'

For Ferrari, 2020 is a year to be quickly forgotten. They have lost tremendously compared to Red Bull Racing and Mercedes and now they are mainly trying to make up for lost time. Where Charles Leclerc won in 2019, the Monegasque will have to fight for points in 2020. Opposite the Formula1.com camera, Leclerc explains his expectations for the Nurburgring.

"With so many warm clothes it really feels like we are going skiing this weekend", Leclerc jokes. "I think it's going to be really hard for everyone for the drivers and the teams to make the tyres work, that will be really hard."

For Ferrari, there will be some additional problems with the cold weather. 

Big surprises this weekend

"We have had a very difficult time in cold conditions and it is really cold here. The conditions are still mostly wet now, but in the weekend itself it will probably change a lot, so that's not going to make our lives any easier." In an effort to close the gap with the competition, Ferrari has also brought new parts to the Nurburgring.

"We took the time to look at what was really wrong with the car and we have now discovered that. Now we come up with small solutions every race that have already made a small difference in Russia. So here we are going to take another small step. If we can hold that line, I am sure there will be better times. This weekend I do not really know what to expect. Under the circumstances there will certainly be big surprises," concludes Leclerc hopefully.
