More fans to Grands Prix: Imola has learned from Mugello

Formula 1 races are again open to the public, but only in very small proportions. 13,000 are allowed to go to Imola, who suggest they have learned from the mistakes in Mugello.

The Tuscan Grand Prix was a spectacle and those who had bought a ticket certainly got value for money, but in Mugello, they had to make their excuses. The first tickets were sold at such high prices that the prices eventually had to be adjusted in order to sell even the limited number of places.

Imola learns from Mugello

Imola has already learned from this. ''We will offer the tickets as was done at Monza in the past'', says circuit manager Uberto Selvatico Estense against Motorsport-total.com. The circuit wants to admit 13,000 people and needs a whole protocol to do so because of the coronavirus.

''We work with different concepts to make the way to a grandstand possible in different ways. We want to use all the stands and leave at least three seats free between the various small groups of people. That way we can get 'Social Distancing' done', concludes Estense.
