Lewis Hamilton will be able to match Michael Schumacher's record 91 Grand Prix victories in Russia this weekend. Of course he will have to beat teammate Valtteri Bottas and Red Bull driver Max Verstappen. This is not an easy job.

"I honestly don't know what it means to me," Hamilton says about his chances of breaking Schumacher's record at the press conference at which Motorsport-Magazin.com, among others, were present. "I don't know what to say. First I have to get my work done. Valtteri has already said himself that he is very fast on this track. We also have to look at Red Bull. I have to win first."

It is a fact that he is going to take first place on the fine list of the German seven-time world champion; the question is only when. "At some point it will probably happen. But I don't know what it means to me. Of course, there's so much else going on in the world. But of course, it's an honour."

Hamilton politically very active

By the latter, Hamilton is referring, among other things, to his statement 'Arrest the cops who killed Breonna Taylor'. The Mercedes driver had this text on his t-shirt in Mugello and not everyone thanked him for it. Hamilton himself says that, despite the fuss, he does not regret it at all. The 35-year-old driver only claims to stand up and fight for human rights.
