Neither Mercedes nor Red Bull Racing were involved in Italy. At Monza three other teams had to endure the podium. For Alexander Albon it also seemed like a weekend to forget, but the Thai still gets a lot of positive results out of it.
In the run-up to the second Italian weekend in F1 in a row, Albon is asked about his progress in the sport. In Belgium, the Red Bull driver showed an improved form, but in the press conference prior to the next race he is forced to face the facts.
"Isn't Monza a weekend to forget?", he is asked. Albon doesn't think so: "I think Monza was a very positive weekend if you don't count Sunday. It is getting better and better as far as pace is concerned".

Contrary to what it looked like, Albon did improve on Monza in his own words: "I felt a lot more comfortable. It's a feeling I had in Monza that came on top of the improvement I noticed in Spa".
