Ocon liked the fight with Stroll. "It was a surprise."

Esteban Ocon returned this year for a full-time seat in Formula 1. The Frenchman was replaced last year by Lance Stroll in the new 'Racing Point'. But fortunately, the Frenchman could go to Renault, the also French team. Ocon evaluates, in his Formula1 column, his performance of the past 'triple header'.

"Even though this season for the first time we didn't score points in Barcelona, we have shown more in terms of points in the last three races than in the beginning, which we certainly deserve". Ocon is referring to the upward trend he's taken. However, the Frenchman is well behind the performance of his teammate Daniel Ricciardo. 

Fighting with Stroll

During the first race at Silverstone, there was an entertaining battle in midfield between Ocon and Lance Stroll's much faster Racing Point. Ocon was able to enjoy that: "The fight with my friend Lance was fun. I made a joke with him before the race and said to him: 'I'm coming for you! Actually, I wasn't expecting that! It was a surprise to catch him and fight with him."
