Sebastian Vettel will leave Scuderia Ferrari after 2020. The four-time world champion has not yet claimed a seat for next year. With the current tight grid it still seems to be a difficult job for the German. For now, Vettel is not worried. He says he is not in a hurry.

The only place that still seems to be open for Vettel is a seat at Racing Point. It is already known that the two parties are discussing a possible contract from 2021 onwards. The team will also change to the Aston Martin racing team from that year onwards.

During the press conference prior to the first Grand Prix at Silverstone the Heppenheimer says: "I would have given you an answer if I knew, but at the moment I don't know when I will make a decision. It's probably realistic to be patient and wait and see".

Vettel is in no hurry

"It may take a few weeks, but possibly longer," Vettel continues. "Time will tell. Nothing has changed in the last three weeks. I'm in no hurry and I want to make sure I make the right choice for myself."

Vettel excludes nothing and says to be open to almost all possibilities. Maybe he can start with a new team or take a year off in between. In any case, the German wants to keep control over his decisions and therefore does not want to do anything rash.

"The fact that I'm going along for a while helps me because I know quite a few people here. The most important thing for me is that the decision I make is really mine and also belongs to me."
