Vettel likes the challenge against Verstappen: "Must if you want to win".

At the press conference leading up to the Styrian Grand Prix, Sebastian Vettel indicated that he had spoken to Renault F1 Team about a possible contract. He will also go into the spot next to Max Verstappen at Red Bull Racing.

Sebastian Vettel gets a lot of questions about his future and about the past months. Has he spoken to Renault, for example. The German lets us know that this is indeed the case but that it has never came to a deal.

On Wednesday it was announced that Fernando Alonso will return to Renault next year, so that opportunity for Vettel has been lost. There are not many places left for Vettel. The chance that he won't get a seat in 2021 is getting bigger and bigger. Or will it be Red Bull?

Of course a lot of questions will be asked to Vettel about a spot next to Max Verstappen next year. He lets Motorsport-total know that he would like to take up the challenge: "If you want to win you have to compete against everyone, including Verstappen", let the German record.

So back to the old nest would make sure the German is happy: "I'm not averse to a Red Bull cockpit" with which Vettel refers to his past with the team. He became world champion four times.

For the time being the chance that Vettel will go to Red Bull seems small because both Helmut Marko and Max Verstappen have indicated that they are satisfied with the current line-up. If that is true Alexander Albon can try again next year next to Max Verstappen.
