Bild has 'new calendar': No GP of the Netherlands, but four races in a row

Where Dutch F1 commentator Olav Mol was still hoping for a Dutch Grand Prix at the beginning of September, it doesn't seem to come from. The German newspaper Bild states that there is no place left on the calendar for Zandvoort.

The new Formula 1 calendar keeps the whole sports world busy, especially now that Chase Carey has given a guideline for the calendar with his statement. However, Bild claims that it has the first details about the new calendar and can therefore provide new information about the calendar to be formed.

No Grand Prix of the Netherlands

There's a few things that stand out on Bild's calendar. For example, just as the BBC reported on Monday, there are two races in Austria and England, but there is also a Double Header in Hungary. In this way, Formula 1 wants to stop as many races as possible in a short time without having to travel a lot. The complete calendar then counts seventeen races.

The most important absentees are Spa-Francorchamps, Monza and unfortunately also Zandvoort. Belgium can't organize the GP because of the rules in the country, Italy still has to recover from the big impact the coronavirus has had and a race in Zandvoort wouldn't be profitable without fans, according to the German newspaper.

The calendar is as follows:

5 & 12 July: Austrian Grand Prix

July 26th & August 2nd: Grand Prix of Great Britain

August 16 and 18: Grand Prix of Hungary

6 September: Azerbaijan Grand Prix

20 September: Singapore Grand Prix

September 27th: Grand Prix of Russia

October 4: Grand Prix of China

October 11th: Grand Prix of Japan

October 25th: Grand Prix of America

November 1: Grand Prix of Mexico

November 8th: Grand Prix of Brazil

22 November: Vietnam Grand Prix

December 6: Grand Prix of Bahrain

13 December: Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi
