Alexander Albon is not looking too far ahead at the moment, instead he is taking each race as it comes, rather than looking forward to his Formula 1 hopes next season.

Pierre Gasly was dropped by Aston Martin Red Bull Racing following a disappointing start to the season and Albon was promoted from their sister-team Toro Rosso following his great start to life in F1.

Red Bull motorsport boss Helmut Marko revealed that a decision has not been made as to who will partner Max Verstappen in 2020, but confirmed it will be between Gasly and Albon and a decision could be made after the Mexican Grand Prix this year.

However, Albon isn't too fussed about this and is not feeling the pressure, he has claimed: "It's all been good, there's a lot of support," Albon said, as cited by F1i.com.

"They've been studying me (while I) find my feet and learn from the team. They're very open to me, asking me questions and that kind of thing. So it has been very open. I think people think there is a lot of pressure at the moment, but there really isn't. For me, it's learning and seeing how it goes.

"I'm not really focused on next year and all that talk. It's more just focused on this and the present time, maximising each race."
