It's safe to say that Ferrari have had a pretty disappointing 2019, with their brilliant testing pace followed by a season of frustration, with reliability issues, strategy error and just a pure lack of pace leading to the Italians trailing Mercedes by a long way.

The gap in the constructors' standings is now a massive 150 points, and both drivers, Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc have slipped behind Red Bull's Max Verstappen in the drivers' standings.

However, Vettel believes that the season could show improvements in the next few weeks, with power tracks Spa and Monza on the horizon, circuits Ferrari should excel at.

The German said after the Hungarian Grand Prix: “Spa and Monza might be better for us but, in the end, our ambition is to really force things to happen, be in control of the race. Where we are now, we’re quite far away from that.

“It will be a busy break for us. I don’t think anyone’s mind can rest in the two weeks, so maybe we come up with some good ideas for the second half."
