With five championships and the record for most pole positions to his name already, Lewis Hamilton is unquestionably one of the greatest F1 drivers of all time. The man from Stevenage is still in his prime, however, and could have another year of record breaking ahead of him.

With 73 wins, 18 short of Michael Schumacher's record 91, it's theoretically possible for Hamilton to break the win record this season. However, seeing as the record for most wins in a single season is 13, this is quite simply impossible. Schumacher won 13 of 18 races back in 2004, while Sebastian Vettel equalled that record by winning 13 out of 19. Lewis will need at least two more dominant seasons if he wants to take away another one of Der Rekordmeister's records.

A sixth championship in 2019 would put him one step closer to Schumi's record seven titles as well (it's crazy to think about that).

At 83, Hamilton already holds the record for most pole positions in history, and he will likely run away even more in 2019, as the Brit is quickly establishing himself as perhaps the best qualifier of all time.

Another record he could equal, though, is for most pole positions at a single Grand Prix. Schumacher, surprise, currently holds that record, along with the late great Ayrton Senna. Senna has put his car on pole a whopping eight times at Imola, while Schumi did it eight times in Japan. Hamilton currently has seven pole positions in Australia, the first race of the season. Can he put himself level with perhaps the two greatest drivers of all time?
