The
Monaco Grand Prix may not have been a success for
Max Verstappen this year, but that does not mean the
Red Bull Racing driver did not enjoy the weekend. After the race, he left for home by boat with girlfriend
Kelly Piquet and her daughter
Penelope to spend some 'quality time' together.
Verstappen, Kelly Piquet and Penelope enjoy Monaco
Penelope, also affectionately called 'P' by Verstappen and Piquet, has recently been a more frequent guest at
F1 races. She can also regularly be seen during the Dutchman's livestreams. Kelly and Penelope were also not to be missed in Monaco, where the family resides.
 On social media,
Kelly Piquet shared several photos and videos of her weekend in Monaco together with her daughter. These showed Penelope encouraging Verstappen from a yacht in the harbour and how she did not want to let go of the driver before he got into his
Formula 1 car to start the race. Again, new footage has emerged, which includes how the trio enjoys Monaco, where the family lives, on the water.
For Verstappen, the race was not a success this time: due to a mistake in qualifying, he started and finished the race in sixth place.
Charles Leclerc won his home race for the first time and was joined on the podium by
Oscar Piastri and
Carlos Sainz.
