George Russell will start Sunday's Grand Prix in Monaco ahead of both Red Bull drivers, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez, as well as his team mate Lewis Hamilton. The Brit, who starts fifth on the grid today, is aware though that Red Bull continue to be the most dominant team in F1.
Speaking at Sunday's drivers parade, Russell said: "It's always difficult to overtake here in Monaco, but I think you need to be fast around the pit stops, and I think with two McLarens, two Ferraris in front, maybe there's some strategic games being played. Maybe there's an opportunity for us to do something."

'They're still the dominant team'

Red Bull have been seen struggling over the past few races, and have failed to win consecutive races unlike the 2023 season. For Sunday's Grand Prix, world champion Verstappen will start sixth behind Russell, whilst his team mate, Perez is 16th.
Whilst he is 'satisfied' to see three constructors ahead of Red Bull, Russell is confident the Austrian team are still the most dominant on the grid: "I think Red Bull have had a few tricky races, but we still have to remember they've won every single race almost this year or could have won every race this year if it wasn't for failures or strategy." The Brit added: "They're still the dominant team, and I'm sure they'll be back to the normal pace from next race onwards."
