Max Verstappen will start the Japanese Grand Prix from pole position. The Dutchman narrowly beat teammate Sergio Perez for P1 in qualifying. View the final starting grid for the GP at Suzuka here.

Max Verstappen was fastest during qualifying on Saturday and therefore gets to start the Japanese GP from first. Sergio Perez will also once again start on the front row of the grid and will hope to finally make it difficult for his teammate to win again.

Behind the Red Bull Racing duo, Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz are lurking for a good result. While the duo do not think Verstappen and Perez really have inferior race pace, they will also have taken motivation from the third free practice session.

For Yuki Tsunoda, it is a special race. The Japanese may start from 10th place in front of his own fans. Tsunoda has never scored points in his own country and would obviously be keen to do so now.
