Ford decline to comment after Red Bull statement on Christian Horner

The Formula 1 world was kept in suspense for weeks awaiting the outcome of Red Bull's independent investigation into Christian Horner. It has now been confirmed: Horner was cleared and may stay on as Red Bull Racing team boss. Future engine partner Ford are keeping a low profile on the situation for now.

A few weeks into the investigation, Ford, which will work with Red Bull as engine partner of Red Bull Powertrains from 2026, began to increase pressure on the F1 team. In a leaked letter, CEO Jim Farley showed his displeasure that there was no outcome yet.

Meanwhile, that outcome has arrived: Red Bull GmbH announced on Wednesday that the complaint of the employee in question was rejected based on the findings of the independent lawyer who conducted the investigation. This clears Horner of any blame, although image damage has been incurred anyway.

Ford is currently still keeping quiet about the outcome of the investigation. Asked for a comment by GPblog, a spokesperson replied, "We will not be commenting on the situation at this time."
